Danielle Fishel stars as Topanga Lawrence, classmate and official girlfriend of Cory Matthews, in "Boy Meets World."

Fishel began acting professionally just six years ago. Her credits include a recurring role on "Full House," a guest appearance on "Kirk," and a guest appearance on "Harry and the Hendersons," as well as several commercials.

Originally cast as a guest star on "Boy Meets World," Fishel's portrayal of Topanga added a special spark, leading the producers to make her an integral part of the show.

Born in Arizona, Fishel has grown up in Southern California. She lives with her mother, father, brother, and a number of family pets. Her menagerie includes a long-haired Chihuahua named Tyson, and a husky/lab mix named Cassidy.

This fall, she is a high school junior, which only adds to her very busy schedule. Fishel writes a column for 16 Magazine titled "Danielle's Diary," which features celebrity interviews, answers to frequently asked questions, and a behind-the-scenes look at teens in show business. She completed "Grinders," an instructional video in rollerblading, with her "Boy Meets World" co-star Rider Strong. She is also developing a workout video, called "Funkarate," with a professional trainer. Geared toward teen girls, the video emphasizes the importance of working out safely and having fun.

Fishel's favorite subjects are math and English. She enjoys surfing, which she learned in Hawaii, and has taken up snowboarding. She also enjoys snow skiing and football, which she plays during recreation time with the boys from "Boy Meets World."
